Dino park Birthday Party

We had another fun birthday party at the Dinosaur Park last Saturday.

Lots of the parents where really impressed that he knew all their names!

Rainbow Cake!

Brix + Olivia had a playdate a couple days ago and her mom made a rainbow cake!
It was so fun (and time consuming) and the little ones helped with stirring the batter.
Everyone was really excited to see the end result, it was so pretty!

Good Friday!

Brixton received a cute Easter card from Miss Shelly and it even had $5 dollars in it!  Brixton knows that for each dollar, he can buy a Hot Wheels car, so he counted the money and right away said, "I can buy five cars!"

Thank you so much, Miss Shelly!  The fun didn't end, because afterwards we went to go see the Easter Bunny.

He also got a nice robot candy  toy from his bestie Finn! What a day!

Brix thought he was kinda like Santa, and he kept telling him he wanted candy and Hot Wheels on Easter. Heehee.

Bowling party fun!

Brixton was invited to another birthday party and this was a bowling party!
His first time bowling, he did pretty good! Lots of fun with friends.

Brixton has chores! And rewards :)

I am working on a chore/reward system for Brixton. He loves to help so much, but I want him to have goals and rewards for doing some of the things he needs to do, but maybe doesn't like so much too (like cleaning up toys)

The chores we’ve started with are:

• brush teeth (morning & night)
• empty silverware from the dishwasher
• set table
• pick up toys (before dinner time and before bed time)
• water plants--inside & outside
• and a few random ones like laundry sorting / dusting/ swiffering

When he accomplishes a task, he gets a sticker in the alloted square for that day. At the end of the day, we count up his stickers. For every sticker, he gets a dime. 
(We figured even if he does ALL his chores everyday-it would only cost us around .50 a day at most- So, $3.50 a week. Not too bad for a three year old!)

He has three jars to put his money – one for giving, one for saving, and one for spending.

I'm basically going to have him put at least one nickel in each of the jars, but he can put the extra coins in the "Spend" jar.

I think this will be really fun and motivating for him and we can have learning time too counting the nickels out.

Wedding of Brian & Tara

We went to a beautiful wedding today at Mayfield Park in Austin.
It was a gorgeous day and locale :) the were even peacocks walking around the grounds and lots of ponds with koi fish in them. Brixton even got to feed the fish and play with bubbles!

Joe accidentally left his camera at home, so we didn't get too many good ones :(

Cute V-Day pix!

We did a mini photo shoot through a moms group and they turned out so nice!
I'm sure you recognize the one from the Valentine's Day card, but there were quite a few more great ones, it was hard to choose.

I don't know if you noticed, but we had him hold Joe's heart pillow from his stay in the hospital after the surgery.   He sleeps with it almost nightly, so I thought it would be a cute touch.

Mommy made cupcakes for school and even had enough batter left to make a Valentine's Day cake.

Brixton received so many Valentines Day cards! A big Thank You to Meemaw & G Papa, Papa, Grandma Karen and Ms. Shelly!  He scored big time with an Elmo book and money.

Hi Ho! Cherry-O

Brix learned his first real board game and he's been having fun playing. He does great, but doesn't like to loose :)

Feeding the ducks and more!

Today we went up to a park by Spencer's house and fed the ducks, geese, swans and another we couldn't name- Brix had a blast and afterwards we played at the park. Very fun day!

Super Bowl Sunday

Brixton helped make cupcakes to take to Olivia's. He had a blast there. Sorry didn't get many pics there- too busy socializing!
